Points for Awards.
The awards of the same name have the same score. For example, a Double Gold has the same score in any I.W.C.: (6.50 points). Gold Medal (5.00 points), Silver (2.50 points), Bronze (1.60 points) and Honor, Recommended or seal of approval (1.20 points).
The score of a wine.
Is the multiplication of the score of the competition with the score of the award. A gold medal in a competition of 9.00 points is worth 45.00points (Top Competition), and in competitions (contests only one varietal) 6.00 points: total 30 points.
The award "Wine of the Year".
It is the leading global distinction awarded by the WAWWJ. It is the most important award in the world of wine.
This award is obtained in the year with minimum 125 points (the sum of the points obtained in thevarious competitions for wine only), earned in the year that begins in February and ends in January next year.
Wines that participated in 2014, obtained the Wine of the Year 2015. Annually,less than 400 award winning wines in the world, at more than 650,100 participating in international competitions around the world.

Receive the official certificate of WINE OF THE YEAR signed by the representatives of the five continents. Sent for Internet PDF. The award begins to appear automatically in the WAWWJ page.
The Wines Societies thatwin the prize, they can buy the right to reproducethelogo, worldwide (only income WAWWJ).
