In 1996 four men came up with the idea to create this space for wine writers: Bruce Galphin and others from USA, Raul Castellani from Argentina , and other the different countries. All four belong to different areas of the wine world and provide different services to promote it. The first wine journalists not belonging to the American Continent, invited to participate in the WAWWJ, represented their countries independently.
The World Ranking Wines (WRW ®) groups the results of the contest, analyzes them and corrects any mistakes that may appear for a better search.
The Commission of International Evaluation is run by the WAWWJ Chairman. The Chairman holds the position for four years.
The Annual closure of the WRW occurs on January 31st each year and after verifying all data, it is published in the WAWWJ web page. (www.waww.com)
